Law School Orientation

So....I have survived the first three days of law school - barely.  Last week I attended Law School Orientation and learned some very valuable lessons:

-Don't write on the walls (really people?!?)
-Gum does not go under the table or chair
-Don't plagiarize (duh)
-Don't have pizza or take out delivered to the library (I had to cancel my order immediately)
-The library shelves in the individual study rooms are not strong enough to hold 2 bodies on top of each other (apparently this has been tested and proved)
-I should watch the movie Paper Chase (anyone seen this?)
-Men in law school still pee on the floor (why I had to listen to a 10 minute lecture to men about missing the urinal is a wonder to me)
-Tort comes from the word torture (any indication of what the semester will hold)
-Directional signs for parking and arrows to the law school building should not be put up on the 1st day of orientation, but instead on the 3rd - once everyone knows where they are going. (Welcome to TSU)
-Do not try to do anything in advance when it comes to financial aid - your efforts will be thwarted by the financial aid adviser

These are just some of the basics that I though you would enjoy!

I also spent 2 days learning to brief and practicing, only to find out that all of our professors hate the orientation format and don't want us to do it that way - my thoughts - aren't you all part of the same faculty?  Don't you talk to each other?!?

I will include more later on my first week - once it is over!
